Celebration Garden

This summer, dedicate a beautiful handcrafted forget-me-not in celebration or in memory of someone special.

Our annual Celebration Garden will once again bring together hundreds of individual tributes, creating a stunning display of remembrance, love and reflection at St Andrew’s Spire in Worcester.

This year’s forget-me-not sculpture has been chosen to reflect enduring love. By making a sculpture your own you are helping fund life-changing hospice care so people can spend their last moments in comfort and those who love them have all the support they need.

For a suggested donation of £32.33, you can reserve your limited-edition forget-me-not by clicking the button below.

Sue takes part in Celebration Garden every year in memory of son, Paul, who spent his final four weeks on the hospice’s In-patient Unit aged just 34. Here she reflects on what our Celebration Garden means to her.

“Supporting Celebration Garden each year helps us cherish memories of a wonderful son and show our appreciation for the hospice’s care and compassion.

“The night he died, the ‘angels’ on duty made us up a bed and encouraged us to stay close. In the early hours Paul turned to my husband and then myself and peacefully took his last breath. In that moment the nurse said something so thoughtful it will stay with me always: ‘who he saw first in life, he also saw last.’

“Paul was as loved on that last day as he was when we brought him into the world. And for that reason St Richard’s will always be part of our family.”

Craftsman Ed Alvis is supporting the St Richard’s Celebration Garden for a sixth year, having previously created bees, butterflies, sunflowers, snowdrops and tulips for the hospice’s care.

Each forget-me-not is uniquely commissioned by Ed at his workshop near Evesham. Having seen St Richard’s care first hand when the hospice team gave home care to his father, Ed kindly provides the hospice with his sculptures at cost price. This enables St Richard’s to maximise funds raised.

From 14 August – 31 August, hundreds of handcrafted forget-me-nots will come together to create a beautiful display at St Andrew’s Spire, offering a space for reflection, remembrance and celebration.

Every flower tells a story. Together, they create a powerful tribute to the people who have touched our lives and the memories that remain with us.

We invite you to visit, spend time among the sculptures and celebrate the people who mean the most to you.

After the installation has come to an end, if you have purchased a forget-me-not, you can take the sculpture home as a keepsake or gift.
