Katherine is a Registered Nurse with more than 20 years’ experience across a range of settings and locations in the West Midlands, predominantly in the field of complex discharge where her roles have included Team Leader, and Matron.
Katherine joined St Richard’s Hospice in 2019 as a Learning Facilitator, and in October 2025 she took on the role of Interim Learning Lead which she finds varied and interesting.
Her role includes planning, delivering and evaluating learning, and supporting staff in their individual learning journeys, as well as leading the learning team. Katherine also promotes Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) within her IPC link role, she is a safeguarding advocate, and a Mental Health First Aider. In addition to this, Katherine leads the Clinical Supervision project for the hospice.
