The role
St Richard’s Hospice (https://www.strichards.org.uk/) is a key provider of healthcare in Worcestershire and supports and cares for adults with illnesses which cannot be cured, through our community teams, our newly developed state-of-the-art day services and our seventeen beds. We are passionately committed to enabling our patients to take control of their lives as their condition changes and we offer support to those important to them too.
This is an exciting time for St Richard’s following a redesign of our organisation and clinical services to enable us to meet the increasing demand for our care and support in 2026 and beyond. We are now looking to appoint a trustee with current senior information technology and digital innovation experience to join our Board and provide advice and support to our teams. The Board of Trustees is ultimately responsible for leading our charity and deciding how it is run; as a trustee, you will help us to make sound decisions about providing the best possible services for our patients within our resources and be committed to our philosophy of continuous development.
We welcome applications from information technology experts from all backgrounds and ethnic groups. As well as your information technology and digital innovation experience, you will also have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, both to act as an ambassador for St Richard’s within our community and to advise, and encourage, our and support teams, and our many volunteers.
The role is voluntary (with reasonable expenses reimbursed) and will require a commitment to prepare for and attend in person quarterly Board meetings at the hospice in Worcester, the annual Board “Away-day” and the meetings of any committees which you are invited to join.
If you can share our passion for providing extraordinary care for our patients and are interested in finding out more about this exciting role, we shall be delighted to hear from you. For further information, and for an informal discussion or visit, please contact Jenny Cowpe, Chair, at or on 01905 958104, or Mike Wilkerson, Chief Executive at or on 01905 958177.
