We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and compassionate individual to provide high-quality administrative support to our clinical services. These roles are pivotal in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our services and play an important role in supporting patient care.

Working alongside a range of hospice professionals, administrators help coordinate information, manage referrals, maintain accurate records and act as key points of contact for patients, families, carers and external professionals.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a busy environment, manage competing priorities, demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain confidentiality at all times.

This role provides administrative support across both the Integrated Community Services and Family Support Services teams.

The post will be worked over a two-week rota pattern, ensuring equitable administrative support across both services. Responsibilities will include supporting referral management, maintaining clinical records, coordinating appointments, managing communications, and assisting with the smooth running of clinical services. Another aspect of this role is supporting the Family Support Referral Line. The Clinical Services Administrator will answer calls and provide initial information and guidance to patients, families, bereaved people and professionals seeking support. The ability to communicate sensitively, respond compassionately to individuals who may be distressed is essential.

The post holder will also be required to provide weekend cover for the Hospice Inpatient Unit on a rota basis, approximately once every six weeks. This will include sharing Bank Holiday cover equitably with colleagues. Enhanced rates of pay apply for weekend and Bank Holiday working.

Both posts require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About you

The role will require a flexible individual with good emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills who can manage conflicting demands on their time. The post holder will have prior administrative experience and will bring a professional and steadfast approach to the role.
