Forensic expert to give fascinating talk

A RENOWNED forensic scientist is set to share insights from her decades-long career at an event raising funds for hospice care.

Jo Millington, an expert in bloodstain pattern analysis, will speak at a lunch event in aid of Worcester’s St Richard’s Hospice on Thursday, March 27.

Taking place at Sixways Stadium, Worcester, the event includes a two-course lunch and runs from 12pm to 4pm.

Jo said: “I am really honoured to have been asked to speak at this amazing event and to support the brilliant work of St Richard’s Hospice.

“I’m looking forward to meeting you all and having a chat about forensic science.”

With a career dedicated to solving mysteries through science, Jo’s expertise spans crime scene evaluation, DNA interpretation, blood pattern analysis, historic case review and animal forensics.

She is a leading educator and global trainer who collaborates with institutions worldwide, advancing research and best practices in forensic science.

Sofia Gunster, Events and Community Fundraising Lead, said: “We are so excited to hear from Jo, as we know she will be a fascinating and inspiring speaker.

“Alongside her other roles, she is the forensic advisor on a number of TV shows. We’re hoping she will share some secrets about how forensic science is brought to the screen!

“Events like this are so important in helping us raise the funds we need to continue our care free-of-charge to patients and their loved ones when they need us most.”

Individual tickets are £36 each. Tables of eight to 12 are also available to book.
