Once registered and you have received your kit\, choose where you’ll host your sweepstake – at work\, with family and friends\, or as part of a community group.\nDecide how much each entry will cost. A simple set amount\, such as £5 or £10 per team\, makes it easy for everyone to take part.\nAgree in advance how the money will be split. For example\, you might give 25% to the winner and donate 75% to St Richard’s Hospice.\nDraw the teams at random so it’s fair for everyone. Our partner solicitors are kindly waiving their usual fees and donating their time and expertise to help raise vital funds for our care. In return\, we suggest a minimum donation of £125 for a basic single Will\, or £175 for Mirror Wills (for couples). Every donation made through Write a Will Month helps ensure we can continue to be there for our patients and their families when they need us most. \nAt St Richard’s\, we understand how reassuring it is to have your affairs in order\, to know your loved ones are cared for\, and your wishes are clearly understood. Yet more than half of UK adults don’t have a Will*. Writing one ensures your wishes are respected\, and those you care about are protected. \nA simple single Will typically costs between £150 and £300 through a solicitor\, a small step that brings lasting peace of mind. Having an up-to-date Will means your money\, property\, and possessions go to the people and causes that matter most to you\, making things easier for your family in the future. \nHow can I get a Will and support St Richard’s? \nBeing part of Write a Will month and supporting St Richard’s is easy; our step-by-step guide below will help you understand the process. There are limited spaces available with our partner solicitors\, so we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment. \nStep 1: Head to our online booking page and choose a solicitor from the list available. On registration\, you will be asked if you would like to make a donation; it is automatically set at £125 (the cost of a single Will). \nStep 2: After registering and making your donation\, you will receive an email with the contact details for your chosen solicitor. DESCRIPTION:Lights of Love\nCelebrate the lives and memories of loved ones by dedicating a Light of Love. \nYou’re invited to join us in 2025 and let your memories shine this festive season. Lights will shine out from the hospice Christmas tree at St Andrew’s Spire\, Worcester and dedicated names will be published on banners around the city landmark. \nOur two Lights of Love services will be held in Worcester Cathedral at 2:30pm and 7pm on Friday\, 21 November. The evening service will be followed by the tree light switch on the Spire at 8pm. Tea and coffee will be served between 8:15pm and 9pm at the Heart of Worcestershire College following the switch on. \nThe services and lighting of the Lights of Love tree are open to all and are free to attend; you do not need to confirm your attendance at either of the services or the switch-on event. \nIf you are unable to attend the lighting of our tree in person\, you can watch this live on our Facebook page. \nClick here to dedicate your light.

DESCRIPTION:  \nBroadway Marathon & Half Marathon\nSunday\, 16 November 2025\nThe Broadway Marathon / Half are single-stage\, looped trail races that take place along public rights of way. The races start and finish in the beautiful village of Broadway\, Worcestershire. The half marathon is a 13.2 mile circular route while the full Marathon is laid out as 2 loops in a figure of 8. \nSt Richard’s Hospice has 2 charity places within each distance that we are offering out to our supporters. \nIn return\, we ask runners to raise a minimum of £350 for the 13.1 distance and £600 for the full 26.2 mile route.\nTo apply for a place please complete the form below and for more information please email appeals@strichards.org.uk  \n\nPlease bear in mind this is mainly an off-road race\, taking place during Autumn/Winter with potentially challenging weather conditions.\nThere is a small mandatory kit list that all competitors must carry\, and it can be quite a challenge with the elevation gain/loss too.
