St Richard’s Hospice, along with St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford, is a hub for Project ECHO® (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes).
We use video conferencing technology to share knowledge and promote best practice in palliative and end-of-life care. This resource is free of charge to health and social care staff based in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Project ECHO® learning events are hosted regularly. The standard format is approximately 45 minutes teaching on a specific subject, followed by 45 minutes of facilitated discussion and learning from each other.
The following Project ECHO® activities are running:
- The monthly palliative and end-of-life ECHO hub: this runs on the last Thursday of every month between 2pm and 3.30pm with a guest speaker and different topic each month
- The six-week end-of-life care programme: this has a different subject for each of the six weeks, these six sessions are then repeated in the next cohort of dates
