Penguin Plunge
Sunday, 30 March 2025
To celebrate our summer of the penguins, we’re excited to bring back our ‘coolest’ event in 2025. Join our the most fearless hospice supporters and take the plunge into the cold water at Lenches Lakes, Evesham. With the Waddle of Worcester having captured the hearts of our many during the summer, can’t wait to see your flippers in action.
It has been found that cold water can build mental resilience, raise your mood, boost your energy, strengthen your immune system and reduce anxiety and has therefore become a popular trend.
Included in your registration is a handmade woolly hat which must be worn whilst in the water and will be given to you before your swim. Tow floats must also be worn in the water, these can be borrowed from the Lenches Lakes but are limited.
You’ll receive a full safety briefing from the Lenches Lakes staff on what to expect as you enter the cold water. On completion you will be treated to a hot drink and brunch bap – you’ll be feeling peckish after your plunge!
This is a sponsored challenge and the registration fee only covers the cost of the event. Please consider making an additional donation or setting up your Just Giving page here. By taking part and raising sponsorship you will help make every moment count for hospice patients, their loved ones and bereaved families across Worcestershire.
